Wrought iron stair spindles – Replace your existing spindles with wrought iron spindles is work that can be done without the need to hire an expensive professional. After removing the existing axes, or creating your railing for installation, you can start transforming your ladder. Measure the length of the railing with tape measure and determine the number of axes that you need. Use a pencil to mark the location of where the screws are installed.
Place each of the axes of wrought iron stair spindles where they will be installed to give a preview of what it will look like. Measure the screws with tape measure and cut two screws longer than the distance between the sleeve and the wall rail using the inch circular saw. This will allow an inch on each side that is inserted into the cap rail and the wall for extra support.
Wrought iron stair spindles use the belt sander to sand the matching shoes to the angle of the rail. Have shoes fit perfectly will make installation easier. Drill holes for screws in the cover wall and the rail using 3/4 inch drill bit. The holes in the top of the wall should be about 1 inch deep. The holes in the rail should be 2 inches deep.
